-2019 could be a catastrophic year for the Arctic as temperatures on Greenland Island (Denmark) have risen to a record level, speeding up the thawing speed makes scientists predict the amount of melting ice this year may axceed the record recored in 2012.

-According to the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), the Summit of Greenland, located at an altitude of 3,000 meters above sea level, April 30 recorded the warmest temperature in the history of -1.2 degrees C, while on June 12, the temperature measured in Qaanaaq, Greenland was 17.3 degrees C - lower than 0.3 Celsius degree compared to the record hot temperature recorded on June 30, 2012

-This situation has caused the ice sheets here to melt quickly. On JUne 17 alone, Greenland lost 3.7 billion tons of ice.

-The current speed of melting ice in Greenland is 6 times faster than in the 80s of the last century. These are alarming information about global warming

-Due to the warming atmosphere, the lives of people and creatures in the Arctic are forced to change to adapt.

-Mrs.Mottram said Greenland will continue to have warm temperatures for the next few days or maybe longer

-From now until the end of the thawing season in August, the ice sheet will cintinue to melt significantly. The Greenland ice sheet is currently the second largest in the world.

-The summer's melting ice caused the global sea level to rise by about half a millimeter.
